I'm on my OPT, basically student F1 visa.
The thing is the company where I work is ready to sponsor me. They only don't know which occupation to write for me in order to be eligible for H1B.
I'm working over there on administrative position and doing various accounting things.

These are so screwed up...
Looks like they are heavily back logged.. (mabye cause the conslate did not accept PIO and OCI applications for almost a month)
I sent in my daughter's OCI for miscelaneous service - move OCI sticker to new passport...
sent it in March and its still not yet reached the consulate..
when I applied the rules said they need a copy of old passport, they later changed the rules and are now saying you need to send orignal passport.
I sent the orignal passport also to them and since then no update -:(
Just impossible to reach them also...am on the phone since the last 2 hours -:( and still waiting...
they do not reply to emails either.
any one else here having trouble with them ?

I will appreciate if any nurse/perosn who has knowledge about nursing profession answer my question.
What is the process for licensure to be a nurse in USA-for a person who has done GNM or BSC nursing in India.
Does it make a difference if one has done a GNM or BSc nursing from India, any advantage of one over the other?

If you are computer savvy you can also use Drupal and other pre-built solutions and customize using smart cart and payment processing packages.
Writing everything from scratch may be a waste of time if online retail is your goal.

Here is my situation..
I was working for company A and had company A Visa on PP valid untill 2010. Now I came under company B with same job descripton. Company B filed for H1b transfer 2 weeks back for which we have not received LIN number yet.
My questiosn are..
1. Can I visit india while my tranfer is pending...???
2. if I plan to visit india after H1b aproval, do I need to get a new visa stamping for company B or can I travel back with company A visa ..??
3. For me to travel back with company A visa , do I need to make sure company A has not informed USCICS to cancel H1b visa.
Greatly apprecite if you can share your suggestions/expereince on this....

I would like to see this kind of report in front page of WSJ and NY times.
I like the below points from the report.

I recently did apply for EAD and the documents required are as below
1. Personal check or Money order for 380$. I prefer sending personal check so that i can know if my check was cashed.
2. I did paper filing and not e-Filing. Some say efile is better some say paper filing is better , i felt paper filing is easy and better , as we can track our documents sent.
3. Docs req are
1. Filled EAD Application form
2. your 485 receipt notice copy
3. Current Addresss proof. electricity bill, water bill etc.
3.Copy of the biographic page of passport for each applicant
4. i-94 Copy
5. 2 Photographs
6. SSN copy ( i put it as my attorney suggested but its not mandatory)
7. copy of driver licence

Once you take appointment you can call the same consulate and sned required documents and get PIMS verified.

Hate to be negative or a spoilsport. I am just as proud of this as any other Indian. But, is it too much to ask for, to have at least ONE of the three links on the page working? Is it too much to expect to have the video move beyond "buffering".
I know there probably isn't any link between this and a moon mission, but one would expect the page to look a bit decent and for something on that page to work. I really hope the people who built that page had nothing to do with the actual mission!

Two I140 in process with a difference of one years in the priority date (one original and one recently filled substitution with improved PD). Which I-140 should be used for I485. IF PD goes back to retrogration, the substitution would help with a risk of getting reject as well. The original I140 has less risk but if PD goes in retrogration, it might get years to get I-485 approve. Suggestions?
I asked this question to my lawyer and he said he would including info about both I-140's and they USCIS will chose one. I am not sure what it would depend on but my lawyer is knowledge and he said I would not to pick on. I believe I would get the earlier PD if the pending I-140 is approved

The H4 process should be an easy one and first time, should be no problems. Not sure whether they will do Back ground check on a H4, till end of 2007 all of my friends got it pretty quick, in about 3 to 4 days.
They implemented PIMS after Nov 2007. So your H1 may get slight delay and not sure about new H4 rules.

I'd like to make sure that it was successfully received by processing center. Do you think it is polite to ask my company lawyer for this receipt or since she told me that it was filed I should just sit and relax...:rolleyes:
