1. Do you know any process of H1 stamp transfer on different new citizenship passport.
2. Is there's any wages difference between H1 & E3 ? Because I have heard while you are on H1 agents will take atleast 30% commission from your salary.

I am Indian citizen residence in USA.
In my appointment letter I saw State of Residence:Tamil Nadu.
I didnt select this option.How this information came to my appointment letter.:confused:
I selected the option before taking appointment.... Indian Citizen Residence in USA.
Is there any chance to change that.My appointment date is with in one week.
Do i have to call anybody regarding this.
Pls tell to me any other options regarding this.

Today PD (aug 2006 / EB3) is now current :) and I have my I 140 approved.
I also have another job offer which looks great. :confused: But they will start GC only after 3-4 months!
I feel It will be better file I-485.. Change after 6 months.
Should I just stick on to my current job and ride it out for 6 months to get EAD?
When does one get EAD 3 months after filing 485 or after 6?
Also if the dates retrogress, will 485 get approved? or Should the date remain current till 485 gets approved?

My problem is in few days the date for visa appointment will be open i.e Jun-13 and I will be booking for that date. I'm flying on Jun-10 so I'm left with exactly 5 weeks, in this time will I be able to get the new LCA and amended H1 ?

There is nothing called "H1b transfer" basically every company applies new H1b but it is within quota and you can have multiple companies holding your h1b visa but you can work only for one company on full time rest part time and there is no need cancel H1b, just go and join the company you want to join. This move in visa number is dramatic and not to mention scary. It also has the hint that dates will retrogress in FY2008, there is no way that everyone will be processed by the end of this year.
If I were you I would keep the earliest priority date and not worry about the category its in, but then its just me and my choice :). You can judge yourself.

I should clarify 2 items on the poll:

I have mis-placed my EAD. Normally I can just apply for another EAD. But, I will be travelling to India in Mid March on Advance Parole and I'm not sure if I'll get the EAD by then.
My question is, will they ask for EAD upon re-entry.
I am thinking of applying for EAD after coming back. Is there any special processing for applying for a lost EAD ?
Any advice is appreciated.
Use the same application procedure as though applying for a new EAD, but make sure you check the box where it says "replacement of lost EAD". Also, write a cover letter explaining that you need a replacement EAD. I had to go thru this just a couple of months ago and USCIS reissued the EAD within a month.

I know that UK and France require transit visa, but I was wondering whether I can fly via KLM (Amsterdam) OR Lufthansa (Frankfurt) without any transit visa ?

I can say with certainity that transit visa is not required for return through Amsterdam on AP. This year 2010, was my second travel through Amsterdam with AP and the port officials really respected the document and treated me very well.

DS 157 is required based on age of the applicant ... your dad may not need but your mom need it ... pls check the vfs site for age range for DS 157 ...

If last year's trend continues then you might see your dates becoming Current during the last quater (July-Sept)...last year dates reached Aug.2006 for Eb2 India before retrogressing.
